MLK Day of Service
The response has been incredible for volunteers, now we need donations to make the bundles; socks, granola bars and crackers are needed for our volunteers to make the sock rolls on Monday!
If you plan to participate in the MLK Day of Service on Monday, or if you will be donating one of the items listed above, we ask that you please sign up by January 17, 2019 using the SignUp Genius.
DON'T MISS THE HARLEM WIZARDS GAME
ON JANUARY 26, 2019!
A high-flying, slam-dunking, rim-rattling basketball show is coming to town! The world-famous Harlem Wizards will visit Upper Dublin High School on Saturday, January 26 at 7pm for an evening of great fun as they play against a team of Upper Dublin teachers and staff. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Doors open at 6:00pm. Seating is limited, so purchase your tickets here now. The Upper Dublin Education Foundation (UDEF) and the Upper Dublin Education Association (UDEA) are teaming up for this fun-filled fundraiser, presented by Burn Brae Day Camp. Proceeds will benefit the UDEF Educator Grants program and UDEA student scholarships. A sensory break room, sponsored by SPEAC of UD, will be available.

Crayola ColorCycle Program
The girls of Brownie Troop 71 are coordinating with the Crayola ColorCycle program to repurpose used markers at MGES!
Students and teachers will be collecting markers to recycle rather than discarding them in a landfill. Please send in your old markers. Any brand of marker (not exclusively Crayola), highlighters and dry erase markers are accepted. For more information please see the letter from Brownie Troop 71.
Thank you for your support!

As a reminder, you may not serve as a chaperone on a trip unless you have received your Volunteer Card from the District's Human Resources Office. This includes all trips: the 5th Grade trip to Baltimore and ALL other grade level field trips.
This Volunteer Card is also necessary to be an active part of any class party or class helper. For example, the 5th Grade picnic at Mondauk or the Kindergarten End-of-Year Party.
The process is FREE and simple! The steps are outlined at this link: http://www.udsd.org/departments/human-resources/#toggle-id-5
But, in order for you to participate, you must have the District Volunteer Card.
New Vaccination Requirements: Reminder to all families that as of August, 2017 changes to the school vaccination requirements outlined by the Pennsylvania Department of Health will be in effect. On the first day of school unless your child has a medical or religious/philosophical exemption he/she must have had at least one dose of the required vaccinations or risk exclusion from school. Implemented changes to the school immunizations are intended to protect students against vaccine-preventable diseases. Please see District website for a link to the Immunization document provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Health. If you have questions regarding immunization requirements, please contact your healthcare provider or call 1-877-PA-HEALTH for more information.
