Wawa Hoagie Sale
The 5th grade class is selling Wawa hoagie coupons. They make great gifts for college kids, sports coaches & anyone! Each coupon costs $4.00 and is good for one Shorti Hoagie (retail is $4.95). This is a savings for you while supporting the 5th grade class trip!
Payment may be made in cash or a check made payable to MGES PTO, please indicate "Hoagie Sale" on your check or envelope. Please note there is a $15 fee is applied to returned checks.

Crayola ColorCycle Program
UPDATE: MGES has collected 30 pounds of spent markers for the Crayola ColorCycle program so far!!! That is 30 pounds of markers that will not end up in landfills, but will be recycled into construction materials or used to generate electricity. Great job MGES and Girl Scout Troop 71 for making a difference!
Remember, any marker can be ColorCycled, not just Crayola. Spent markers can be collected from home and the classroom. Lets see if we can collect at another 30 pounds before the end of the year. Keep color cycling!

Need A Great Gift Idea?
As a reminder, you may not serve as a chaperone on a trip unless you have received your Volunteer Card from the District's Human Resources Office. This includes all trips: the 5th Grade trip and ALL other grade level field trips.
This Volunteer Card is also necessary to attend any class party or volunteer as a classroom helper. For example, the 5th Grade picnic at Mondauk or the Kindergarten End-of-Year Party.

But, in order for you to participate, you must have the District Volunteer Card.
New Vaccination Requirements: Reminder to all families that as of August, 2017 changes to the school vaccination requirements outlined by the Pennsylvania Department of Health will be in effect. On the first day of school unless your child has a medical or religious/philosophical exemption he/she must have had at least one dose of the required vaccinations or risk exclusion from school. Implemented changes to the school immunizations are intended to protect students against vaccine-preventable diseases. Please see District website for a link to the Immunization document provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
